Les responsables du briefing nous avaient prévenu: aujourd'hui allait être une belle et longue journée.
Décollage 9h pour les 5 planeurs autonomes du rallye. Tout le monde part sur un 1082 kms but fixé. Dès le début du vol les thermiques sont puissants et montent très haut. La journée s'annonce prometteuse!
Le vol est très exotique: gros varios avec des plafonds à 5200m, longues confluences, la montagne est impressionnante très aride avec de grands canyons. Des sacs-plastique se font prendre dans les pompes (qu'ils centrent très bien d'ailleurs), on en a croisé à 5000m.
Tout le monde à tourné le circuit et chacun a de quoi se féliciter : premier 1000 bornes pour Bandar. Même chose pour Pierre et tourné à 141 km/h de moyenne SVP! Robert lui a fait marcher son DG comme un Binder !
Chapeau aussi à notre caméraman Charly qui a volé 9h avec John. C'était son deuxième vol!
Ce soir les pilotes sont fatigués. le vol de demain devrait être "plus cool"

Take-off 9am for the 5 Rallye's gliders. Evryone are on a 1082 ks goal flight. Since the begining thermals are strong and go very high.
The flight is very interesting: big rates of climb with cloud bases at 5200m, long confluences, the mountain is very dry with big and deep canyons. Plastic bags climb in thermals (they climb very good!) , we found one at 5000m.
Every one did the circuit and we all have to celebrate: first 1000ks for Bandar. Same for Pierre at 141 km/h average speed! Robert did very well and flew with his DG 500 as fast as a Binder!
Congratulation as well for Charlie, our cameraman. He flew 9h with John. It was his second flight !
